Fixed Deposits

Bank provides fixed deposit at attractive rate of interest and also offers 0.5% more interest on senior citizens deposit.

In deposit terminology, the term Fixed Deposit refers to a savings account or certificate of deposit that pays a fixed rate of interest until a given maturity date. Funds placed in a Fixed Deposit usually cannot be withdrawn prior to maturity or they can perhaps only be withdrawn with advanced notice and/or by having a penalty assessed.

A sum of money given to a bank, financial institution or company whereby the receiving entity pays interest at a specified percentage for the time duration of the deposit. At the end of the time period of the deposit the amount that is originally given is returned to the investor. Fixed deposits are also known as term deposits.

Documents Required

For personal accounts

  • Passport size photos of each applicant
  • For proof of identity, a copy of any one of the following: Income Tax PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Voter ID Card/Aadhar Card (Bring the original along for verification)
  • For proof of income, latest electric bill/gas connection bill/telephone bill (photocopy of any one) in the name of the applicant (original to be brought along for verification)
  • Those who do not have PAN number should fill Form No. 60 separately. In such a case, two photocopies of the ID and residential proof will have to be provided.

For institution/trust accounts

  • Registration certificate of the organization/trust, constitution
  • Resolution on opening the account and the signatures of the office bearers who will administer the account
  • Passport size photographs of the office bearers signing the account.
  • Income Tax PAN number of the organization/trust. If there is no number, then Form No. 60 should be filled separately.
  • Personal evidence of all the office bearers administering the account on behalf of the organization/trust will have to be submitted in the details mentioned below.

Deposite Scheme :

  • All the deposits of shareholders and non shareholders till Rs 1,00,000 is safe under D.I.G. C scheme
  • Bank is authorized to accept deposits of Public Trust.
  • Bank gives interest on deposits of account holders every monthly every three months or cumulative as per desire of account holders.
  • Bank gives interest on fixed deposit account from date 1/10/2021 at 3.00% to 5.00% in different schemes.
  • Bank gives additional 0.25% rate of interest to all the senior citizens on their deposits.
  • Bank gives additional 0.25% rate of interest who deposit 15 lakh and more*.
  • Member who saving compulsory bank give 5.00% on saving.

સીનીયર સીટીઝન રૂ. ૫,૦૦,૦૦૦/- ની રકમ પાંચ વર્ષની મુદત માટે મૂકે તો તેનો દર ૦૭.૫૦%
